Our products are backed by our 7 year guarantee.
We use only high-grade LED components, precision-manufactured PCBs, and rigorously tested drivers across the full Lumily LED range. Our 7 year guarantee reflects the confidence we have in what we make. It covers the full product — not just the LED component.
Coverage
What is covered
- All Lumily LED strip lights — COB, SMD, single colour, tunable white, and RGB
- Aluminium profiles, diffusers, end caps, and mounting hardware
- Lumily LED constant-voltage drivers and power supplies
- Controllers, dimmers, and remote receivers
- Defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and conditions
- Premature failure not caused by misuse, incorrect installation, or external damage
What is not covered
- Fair wear and tear over time
- Incorrect installation or installation by an unqualified person where a qualified electrician was required
- Use of an incorrectly rated driver — wrong voltage or insufficient wattage for the connected strip
- Water ingress on non-IP rated or under-rated products used in wet environments
- Cuts made outside the designated cut marks on the strip
- Modification, disassembly, or tampering with any product
- Consequential losses — including cost of electricians, fitters, or associated works
Where a valid claim is accepted we will send a replacement product or, where a direct equivalent is no longer available, an alternative product of equivalent specification. Replacements carry a guarantee for the remaining unexpired period of the original 7 years from the original date of purchase.
Terms & conditions
- 1 Proof of purchase is required for all claims. An order confirmation, receipt, or invoice showing the product name and purchase date is acceptable. Lumily LED reserves the right to decline a claim without this.
- 2 The product must have been installed correctly and, where required by regulation, by a qualified electrician. Products installed in breach of relevant electrical regulations are not covered.
- 3 All components used must be correctly matched to the product. Using a driver of the wrong voltage or insufficient wattage for the connected strip voids the guarantee. Lumily LED products should be used only with compatible drivers and accessories.
- 4 The product must not have been altered, modified, or tampered with in any way beyond the manufacturer's guidance — including cuts made outside designated cut points on the strip.
- 5 Lumily LED reserves the right to collect and inspect any product claimed as defective. If on inspection the product is found not to be faulty, it will be returned at the customer's cost and any replacement previously supplied becomes payable at the current list price.
- 6 Lumily LED is not liable for consequential losses arising from a product fault — including but not limited to the cost of electricians, fitters, or any associated installation or remediation works.
How to make a claim
Email support@lumilyled.co.uk with your order number, a description of the fault, and clear photographs of the issue. We aim to respond within 2 working days.
Installation costs: The cost of removing, reinstalling, or making good after a faulty product is not covered under this guarantee. We recommend installation by a qualified electrician for all fixed electrical connections.
