What LED Driver Do I Need?
Your LED strips need a driver to convert 240V AC mains to the 24V DC the strips run on. Choosing the wrong driver is the most common installation mistake — and the easiest to avoid.
Step 1 — Calculate your wattage

Do I need a dimmable driver?
If you want to dim your strips, you need a dimmable driver. Standard drivers cannot be used with dimmer switches. The Lumily CORE Dimmable (Titan) series supports both leading-edge and trailing-edge dimming.
Always check dimmer compatibility before ordering — not all dimmer switches work with LED drivers. If in doubt, contact our team.
Receivers and remotes
- CORE Single Colour Receiver — for dimming standard white strips
- CORE CCT Receiver — for OPTIX S+ adjustable white strips
- CORE RGB CCT Receiver — for OPTIX RGBWW colour-change strips
- CORE Universal Remote — compatible with single-colour and CCT receivers
⚠ Never connect more wattage than your driver is rated for. Always size up — a driver running at 60–70% of its maximum will run cooler and last longer.
